Help!

I tried downloading and it says need to use wifi or download using iTunes then sync. Now I have just the icon on phone saying "loading" and wont install. I have tried holding down icon til it wiggled so I can delete but theres no x for me to delete. I deleted in iTunes as well but it is still there.
